She is very knowledgeable and as a first time mom, I felt so reassured and supported by her. I saw substantial improvement with the issues we were working on and I can’t recommend her enough!Posted on Kathryn SanterreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Allison is not only a consummate professional, but she is also a wonderful person, and a baby whisperer. She helped us through latching difficulties starting when our baby was around five weeks old and helped us through recovery and strengthening of baby’s oral functions post-frenectomy, as well as strengthening other muscles. Her demeanor is so calming and pleasant; I always joke that it is our baby’s favorite place to visit because the moment she begins talking to him he is so happy. Her combination of experience in lactation and PT absolutely was a huge benefit to the care of our baby. She is responsive to inquiries via text even during non office hours, which always made us feel supported which is so critical when your baby is challenged with feeding and weight gain. I recommend her whole-heartedly to be part of your care team, and would work with her again in a heartbeat.Posted on Catherine HadroTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Kops was the single greatest decision I made for me and my newborn baby in my early postpartum days. She quickly identified why my baby was struggling to gain weight and was seemingly colic. She also checked in on me regularly and I could tell truly cared about my daughter’s well-being. Dr. Kops accompanied and guided me when I needed it most. Can’t say enough good things!Posted on Lindsey ConklinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Allison is the absolute *best* PT and lactation support person to have on your baby (and mother and father!) care team. We had a rough start to lactation before we found her when our baby was 10 weeks. Our daughter wouldn't latch and struggled with bottle feeding. Then around week 6 she developed colic - most likely due to allergies and air intake while feeding. We had seen many prior specialists but Allison was the only person who was able to look at our daughter's feeding picture holistically. She was also the only person who actually listened to me and my intuition about my baby (which ended up being correct!). She helped us with our daughter's torticollis and tongue tie (often related!) as well as bottle feeding strategies. She also helped educate us on FPIES (commonly intolerance to milk and soy but also many other foods) and find a formula that worked well for our baby. She then helped us recognize Sandifer's Syndrome when our daughter started showing symptoms of it. Then she helped our daughter out of her torticollis tendency as she hit different milestones like rolling over and crawling. She also helped us introduce solids, straw cups, and shoes. We saw Allison for nearly a year and during that time we had so many questions for her and she always had a balanced perspective. My goodness we went through a lot together and we are eternally grateful for her help! With Allison's support, our daughter went from the 22nd percentile in weight at week 10 (after dropping from the 50th starting at week 4) back up to her original weight curve of 50th percentile. She's now a thriving one year old with impressive gross motor skills - she rolled over early, crawled early, and walked right on schedule with no more torticollis issues. If we have a second child, Allison is going to be the anchor of our lactation care team. I don't think we would have survived the first year without her. If you're struggling with lactation or gross motor challenges in any way or just want to be prepared with lactation help before your baby even arrives, please learn from our experience and reach out to Allison. It will save you a lot of angst and stress in those early weeks!Posted on Thongsa PhongsvirajatiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Allison Kops was wonderful for us as a lactation consultant and a baby PT! I was having issues with my breast pump, and having pain when I use it too often. Allison helped deduced that it was because the nipple flange was too big when I assumed it was too small. She was also very knowledgable in all sorts of baby topics that we had questions on and gave recommendations for baby toys and activities to help his development. We highly recommend Allison and would definitely come back if needed!Posted on Emigda VanderpoolTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alison is the best! Got referred to Allison via my doula and had an amazing session. She answered all of my questions, gave great recommendations and helpful tips to help me meet my feeding goals with my infant. Would highly recommend Allison for any moms and parents looking to establish or refine their infant’s feeding goals and schedule!Posted on E GTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Allison is wonderful! If you have any feeding/lactation questions I can't recommend her enough. Allison is incredibly knowledgable and has all the tools in her office to assist. We were doing "fine" but not thriving with possible tongue/lip tie, and the trip to see Allison was so well worth the time and money. Just wish we would have gone in sooner! Thank you Allison!Posted on Lauren EisenbergTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can’t recommend Allison enough. She is incredible with babies (and fantastic with new nervous parents, too). We began with Allison after our pediatrician noticed our son favored one side so his head was developing asymmetrically. She worked with him and provided us exercises to do at home that weren’t overwhelming or too complicated. After our son’s work with Allison, there was no need for further interventions (like a helmet).Posted on Roxanne ArnonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with Allison based on a recommendation from our IBCLC. She was so great in helping our baby with tension she was having and gross motor milestones. She gave us homework to practice and we saw tremendous growth in a short amount of time. When our baby starting showing asymmetry with pulling up a few months later, we met with her again and she answered all our questions and gave tips for home practice. I highly recommend her!
